Just 34 km northeast of Bandar Abbas, there is a protected area with amazing nature and a nice climate, that is great for escaping the harsh heat of Hormozgan in summers. This great protected area is called Genow. But what makes this protected area different from other ones in the region is the hot spring that boils from its heart. a
This hot spring isn’t the only one in this region, but due to its indescribable beauty, it has gained a lot of fame among tourists and residents of this region. As we said in the other articles of IMT texts, there are 230 hot springs in Iran. Genow hot spring is one of several ones that are located in the Protected Area and in addition to having healing properties, it has a different and very beautiful appearance.  Watching the beautiful nature scenery and capturing memorable images of it will be unforgettable in your life.

 

Flora of the Genow Protected Area

The Genow Protected Area is covered with rare desert plants, each of which has unique medicinal properties and is used to treat many diseases. Plants such as Thyme, Yarrow, Acacia, Mint, Cumin, Fragrant Fern, Oregano and Cow Dung. Trees such as Apples, Grapes, Dates, Tangerines and Mangoes are also found in this area.

 

The best season to visit Genow hot spring

As we mentioned, the Protected Area is located in a pleasant climate, which makes it possible to visit it even in the hottest months of the year. But if you want to travel to Bandar Abbas in the best weather conditions and enjoy a lot, choose winter or end of autumn.

 

Location of Genow hot spring

Start from Bandar Abbas to Sirjan thorough asphalt road, just 34 km northeast of Bandar Abbas, you will reach to the Protected Area easily.
