Mahalat region has too pleasant climate and is located in the center for growing flowers and ornamental plants with a flower festival during May. The nature scenes are very dazzling in spring and summer and with colorful flowers and warm people; the locals are from the Bakhtiari and Arab tribes, who speak Persian with a neighborhood accent.
Mahalat hot springs are located in the northeast of this city. It’s amazing to know that the use of these springs in a modern way dates back to 1350 AH and today there are more than ten small and large springs in this region, which have been named according to their healing properties.

 

Properties of Mahalat hot springs

Mahalat hot springs are in the category of hyperthermal waters, which means the water has high pressure and temperature with sulfated and calcium compounds.  These waters boil from a depth of 20,000 meters and pass through the vapor of the paste of burning rocks inside the crust to the surface.
It’s strange to tell that sometimes the temperature of these waters reaches to 100 degrees. The distinctive feature of these springs is the lack of sulfur and its bad smell. The hot springs are effective in Treating Liver, Bile, Kidney and Gastrointestinal diseases and Rheumatic and Bone diseases. Also, the presence of radon gas in these springs helps to cure Lung, Skin, and Fungal diseases too. Please notice that these hot springs will be intolerable for patients, that have Cardiovascular disease, and experience Dizziness, Headache, or Nausea. Also, it’s better for patients with Diabetes, Hypertension, and Respiratory problems to bring their medications during relaxation in these hot springs.

Mahalat is located in the southeast of Markazi province. There are two routes to reach there from Tehran; the first route is Tehran to Qom by the Persian Gulf freeway, and then Delijan to Mahalat road, and the second route is from Saveh road.
