Talator Canyon (Ashkaf Canyon)

Qazvin province is one of the most beautiful provinces of Iran. This province hosts tourists all year round who are eager to visit historical and natural tourist attractions. The largest number of canyons in Qazvin province are located in Alamut region, where eight canyon have been identified in Alamut and Tarom. Among the canyons of Qazvin, we can mention Talator that is a technical and specialized canyon that attracts canyoners every year. This canyon is located 65 km from Qazvin, in the village of Rouh Abad. Rouh Abad village locates on the western front of Razmian districts in Alamut region. It's interesting to note that this canyon has lots of cold water in summer. The fun of canyoning in the hot months of the year will be unforgettable for travelers.

Technical information of Talator Canyon

The Talator difficulty grade is V4A5IV. This canyon is famous because of breath-breaking scenes and numerous ponds for jumping. The canyon has 13 km but 8 km of it can be reachable by foot. The Ashkaf or Talator canyon has 13 rappel with 2 to 20 meters in height.

Also, water basins have one to three meters depths, which extend from Rouh Abad to Parvard village. The height difference of the starting point to the end of Talator canyon is about 160 meters. Most of the way, the flow of water from the high cliffs and rocks of the valley has created beautiful and scenic images that are very attractive and spectacular. Along the way, you can see amazing creatures such as crabs, huge lizards, and different fishes.
