Mount Damavand also known as Donbavand, a potentially active volcano and the highest peak in Iran, has a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. Located in the middle Alborz Range, adjacent to Varārū, Sesang, Gol-e Zard and Mīānrūd, it is the highest point in the Middle East and the highest volcano in all of Asia. It is a potentially active volcano, since there are fumaroles near the summit crater emitting sulfur. The mountain is located near the southern coast of the Caspian Sea, in Āmol county, Māzandarān, 66 kilometres (41 miles) northeast of Tehran. Northeast of Damavand is one other major route to climb the peak. this route is a bit longer then south face but less busy and more virgin.
Check-in to your 3star hotel and meet in the afternoon – sightseeing in Tehran.
After breakfast start hiking from Darband 1750m. 3 hours hiking up to Shirpala hut 2750m via beautiful Pasqalee village.
Start climbing from the hut 3 to 4 hours. climbing Tochal 3960m. descend to Tochal 7th lift station. take the lift 1 hour down to Tehran. Drive to the Nandal village 2300m about 4 hours.
Rest day in the village after long yesterday.
After breakfast start driving with car on a dirt road about 1 hour. Then start climbing up to 4200m close to Takht-e-Fereidoon shelter.
After breakfast, push up to the summit 6-8 hours. Descend to the camp and village about 5 hours. overnight in village.
Drive to Tehran. Departure
