Canyoning North of Iran

Iran, with its large area, four seasons nature and many mountainous areas, as well as the existence of springs and running water in the heart of the mountains, has created beautiful and amazing canyons that mostly are hidden from people due to their difficult access. Exploring these beautiful and pristine canyons will be full of excitement for those who step on them. First technical and vertical canyoning in Iran started in 1953, at the same time with the construction of the Karaj Dam and the establishment of the Parachute Battalion and the Army Immortal Guard (Pahlavi) began in that place and the Ranger Canyon was opened at the time. This place is still the training ground for army commandos. Today, dozens of canyons have been discovered in different parts of Iran, and the canyons in the north of the country are among the most difficult and attractive canyons in the country due to strong water currents.
