Alam-Kūh / Alamkouh / Alamkooh Mount is a mountain in the Alborz mountain range in the north of Iran, Mazandaran Province, forming a peak of the Takht-e Suleyman Massif. It is located in the Kelardasht District of the MazandaranProvince of Iran. With an elevation of 4840 meters it is the second highest peak in Iran behind Mount Damavand . The first recorded ascent of the peak was made from Hazarchal over the south face by the German brothers Bornmüller during their six-month botanical exploration of the Alborz in 1902. The 800 m high, steep granite north face provides some of the most difficult and interesting mountaineering routes in the country and the climbs rank along side major climbing routes in the European Alps.
Arrival at te IKA Airport. visit your mountain guide and driving from Tehran to Marzan Abad and Roodbarak and Vandarbon mountain hut on 2200m via Chaloos road about 5 hours.
after breakfast driving a 4*4 car to a place called Tange Galoo 0n 3200m about 1hour. From Tange Galoo we are going to have a 2-hour hike to Hesarchal camp about 3700m. Short walk around and overnight at the camp. porter (mules) 15kg per person is include.
Climbing Lashgarak peak 4200m about 2 hours and back to the camp. there is a beautiful glacier lake in the way of the peak and we have a very clear nice view of the area include Alamkouh from the peak.
After breakfast early in the morning start climbing Alamkooh peak about 5 hours. in case of weather we can even see Damavand 5610m from Alamkouh. we can also see some part of the north face wall, north Glacier Alamchal etc.. after climbing the peak we will go back down to the camp and head down to the Tange Galu and Vandarbon mountain hut. porter (mules) 15kg per person is include.
Driving to Vandarbon and Roodbarak and Caspian sea in Mahmood Abad about 3 hours. Sightseeing in city include local Bazaar and swimming in the see.
Returning to Tehran via Haraz road about 5 hours. In the way back we can visit and take pictures with Damavand. Departure.
