Mt. Ararat, a mythical and legendary volcano since biblical times, still radiates a tremendous fascination today. Visible from afar with its vast snowfields rises from the vast valley of the Araxes in eastern Anatolia, the center of the Armenian highlands, where the foothills of the Taurus Mountains unite with the eastern foothills of the Pontius Mountains, that mountain on which after the biblical flood the ark Noah's stranded. The Turks call it Agri dagi (Pain Mountain), the Armenian Masi, and the Persian Kûh-i Nuh. Powerfully the Ararat rises up to a height of 5.165 m, which even in midsummer snow cap seems to touch the sky. Only since 2001 is it again allowed to climb this legendary volcanic cone of igneous rock and the highest mountain of Turkey. Ararat is one of the highest volcanos in Asia after Damavand 5610m.

Day 1:
Flight to Istanbul
Flight over Istanbul to Van. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2:
Skitour Mt. Artos (3.537 m)
In the morning we drive to Gevas near Lake Van and continue to the foot of the mountain, 2,100 m (depending on snow conditions even under it). It takes about 4 hours to reach the summit - the view over Lake Van is unique. Descending with a racy downhill with a maximum steepness of up to 30 °. Drive to Adilcevaz, overnight at the hotel.

Day 3:
3rd day: Skitour Mt. Süphan (4,058 m)
Early in the morning, we drive to the snowline just above or in the village of Kiskili. The ascent about 1650 meters in 5 hours to cope, the last 200 meters are very steep. The Süphan is rightly one of the most rewarding ski mountains and also the third highest mountain in the country. Further, we drive to Dogubayazit, for the first time we see our main destination - Mt. Ararat! Overnight in the hotel.

Day 4:
Dogubayazit - the base camp
Driveway to the village Cevirme, last control in the military. After the luggage has been loaded onto the horses, climb up to the base camp at about 2,900 m altitudes. (depending on snow conditions), tent night.

Day 5:
Base camp - high camp
3 hours we climb to the high camp (3,500 m) and set here our camp. Tomorrow is the big day!

Day 6:
Summit day
At about 3 o'clock you have to get up and have breakfast. An approximately 6-hour climb takes us to the summit. At an altitude of about 4.900 m, the glacier begins, from now on with crampons or depending on conditions by ski. Done, we stand on the highest peak of Turkey, the mountain Noahs. In good weather and visibility, the view extends to Iran and the Caucasus, Eastern Anatolia lies under our feet! We enjoy our summit success. We can not stay long, because here, even in very good weather, strong winds are blowing. Descent and downhill, hopefully with wonderful powder or firn to the base camp at 2,900 m and on to Dogubeyazit.

Day 7:
Dogubayazit, reserve day
Reserve day for another summit attempt, otherwise visit the Ishak Pasa Palace. Afternoon transfer to Van, overnight at the hotel or depending on when the reserve day is spent on the mountain, in camp.

Flight home
Transfer to the airport and return flight via Istanbul to home or optional extension in Istanbul.
