Damavand economic
Damavand 5,610 meters, is located in the central part of Alborz mountain range in the south of the Caspian Sea and Larijan part of Amol city. The mountain is located 69 km northeast of the Iranian capital so, there are lots of tourists that visit the region every year. Also, Damavand Peak is the highest volcano in Asia and one of the highest volcanoes in the world, it is also considered as the highest peak in Iran and the Middle East. This mountain was registered as the first natural monument of Iran in the list of national monuments and national natural monument too.

Damavand 5610m - Economic
Mount Damavand also known as Donbavand, a potentially active volcano and the highest peak in Iran, has a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. Located in the middle Alborz Range, adjacent to Varārū, Sesang, Gol-e Zard and Mīānrūd, it is the highest point in the Middle East and the highest volcano in all of Asia. It is a potentially active volcano, since there are fumaroles near the summit crater emitting sulfur.

Northeast of Damavand is one other major route to climb the peak. this route is a bit longer then south face but less busy and more virgin.
